Highlighting the impact of the financial crisis and industrial relations challenges

Eve Bremner, CEO, met with Catherine Milne, Principal of St Aloysius PS & NS, to talk about her vision for CCMS and to consider the impact of the current financial crisis and challenging industrial relations climate on schools. Catherine explained how, like all schools St Aloysius is facing rising running costs and a growth in special needs support. Despite healthy enrolment numbers the school faces financial challenges in the future, and this is coupled with the challenges of post-Covid and industrial relations. Eve took the opportunity to outline her priorities for CCMS of advocating for all children and the Catholic maintained sector; empowering and developing school leaders; and developing our family of schools, their ethos and sustainability.
