St James’ Primary School and Nursery Unit, Newtownabbey, had a very special assembly at school to celebrate their latest accolade.

Laura Coey and Beverley Gaston from Sustrans came to visit. Members of the school community hosted an assembly and read a poem to mark this special occasion. Acting Principal, Breanda Clenaghan and Staff are delighted to announce that they have been awarded Gold by Sustrans for being an active travel school.

Ms Clenaghan noted a special thanks to all the pupils and parents for their continued and valued support. “Without you we would not have won this award, so thank you and a BIG well done!”
