St Ronan’s Primary School, Newry receive reaccreditation as an IQM flagship school for Inclusion

The Inclusion Quality Mark Award provides UK schools with a nationally recognised validation of their inclusive practice and ongoing commitment to developing educational inclusion. Flagship status is the highest accolade, the overarching aim of which is that an individual school which has achieved Flagship Status can now further its work in Inclusion through internal research activities.

St Ronan’s Primary School in Newry has received reaccreditation as an IQM Flagship School. The school has built a strong reputation within the local area as an inclusive school where pupils are nurtured and supported to develop in a holistic sense. The award is testament to the diversity and high-quality educational provision of the school.

Principal Kevin Donaghy explained “The ethos of St Ronan’s is centred around relationships, we are open to everyone, no matter who you are. The staff and pupils are happy, work together and everyone is valued and nurtured to enable them to reach their full potential. I am very proud of the staff and pupils of St. Ronan’s PS and their continued dedication to our ethos of inclusion, to meeting the needs of the pupils of St. Ronan’s and fulfilling the catholic school ethos of openness and diversity.”
