‘We Can’ Awards celebrated at Belfast Castle

This year’s annual We Can Awards ceremony, organised by St James’ Primary School, Newtownabbey THRIVE partners, was celebrated in Belfast Castle.

Awards were given to many outstanding children and young people, in the categories of: We can... Learn, We Can...be Healthy and Well and We Can... be Connected.

St James’ are very proud to announce that Thom Mc Glade from LSC2 class won in the We Can... Learn category. Four generations of his family and his teacher Mrs Magill were there to cheer him on. Thom received a beautiful trophy and a 'We Can' goody bag which he immediately promised to share with his classmates! He showed off his award to the rest of the school at assembly the following morning.
