EA Non-Teaching Staff Planned Industrial Action

Planned Industrial Action of Education Authority Non-teaching staff

The Education Authority (EA) has advised that they have received notification from three non-teaching unions, that their members are being called to take part in strike action across a number of days in May & June in relation to a trade dispute linked to the EA Pay and Grading Review.

The EA employs non-teaching staff e.g. catering, cleaning, school transport staff and classroom assistants, in Catholic maintained schools.

The EA is taking steps to mitigate the impact of the action where possible though given the scale of the industrial action, disruption is expected to be widespread.

Details of the industrial action, as well as potential impact on EA services is available at www.eani.org.uk/industrialactionupdates.

Schools will also assess the potential impact based on their individual circumstances and communicate directly as required with parents.
