SEN - A Call for Change

This is a CCMS report on provision for special educational needs (SEN), written following extensive engagement between CCMS and school leaders. The leaders highlighted many issues but the three areas of greatest concern were SEN provision, Early Years Provision and the ongoing development of a shared vision for their Catholic Ethos. CCMS set up working groups to further explore these issues and to report on their findings.

This is the first of these reports and outlines in great detail the findings of the working group and the views of the wider Catholic maintained sector on the improvements required in SEN provision. CCMS is grateful to all who took part in the working group and fully endorses the recommendations contained within the report.
